Hair thickness majorly depends upon the nutrition they are getting. If they are getting good nutrition then the hair will definitely become thick, dense and strong. We can provide them with nutrition both internally as well as externally. I will explain both ways in detail.
But before discussing those methods let us know about how to know the thickness of our hair. For women, just make a ponytail and measure its width. If the thickness is less than 2 inches then the hair is thin. Between 2 to 3 inches of hair are neither thick nor thin. More than 3 inches the hair are thick, strong and dense. Another method for both men and women to check the thickness and density of hair is the dry hair method. If the scalp is easily visible when hair is dry then you seriously need to take proper care of them before the condition gets worse. Hair starts getting thin when they don’t get the essential nutrients they need. These methods are also useful to keep hair healthy and strong forever. So, let’s start discussing, how to make hair thicker and stronger.
Natural Methods to make hair thicker and stronger
Exercise can boost hair growth
As I told you, hair needs nutrients and oxygen to remain in a good state. Hair follicles absorb these two from blood. If this blood supply gets interrupted due to some reason then our hair starts losing its healthy state. So, to make hair thick and strong we only need to improve the blood supply to hair follicles. We can do this by doing exercise. Yoga poses like Head Stand, Utthanasana (Standing Forward Bend), Adho Mukho Savasana (Downward Dog Pose), Sarvangasana (Shoulder Stand), Setubandhasana (Bridge Pose) increase blood flow towards the head. Meditation and breathing exercises will further improve hair thickness.
Flex Seeds and Chia seeds are hair’s best friend
These seeds are extremely beneficial for hair. They contain all the essential nutrients hair needs for growth. Flex and Chia seeds contain certain minerals which control the DHT hormone in the body. When our body produces this hormone excessively they start interrupting the blood supply to hair follicles resulting in thin and weak hair. This can also lead to hair fall. But regular consumption of these highly nutritional seeds will control the DHT level, boost blood supply and make hair thicker and stronger again. These are also useful for baldness.
Don’t forget Indian Gooseberry (Amla) and Aloe vera
Both Indian Gooseberry (Amla) and Aloe vera are boon for hair and skin. Amla and Aloe vera are rich sources of vitamin C and amino acids. Antioxidants available in them will repair damaged hair and scalp. Their anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties will maintain scalp health in a good state. So, start drinking 15 ml to 20 ml of aloe vera and amla juices daily. These nutrients will work as a miracle for your hair. Also, it can cure other skin and hair-related issues.
Massage scalp with warm oil
Oil massage is helpful in improving hair quality. It will not only improve blood circulation but also counter stress. Almond Oil, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, and Castor Oil of them are amazingly beneficial for hair. Warming oil a little bit before applying them will further increase benefits. Massaging these oils on the scalp will transfer their nutrients into the scalp. For scalp massage warm any one of these oil a little bit and apply it on the scalp. Gently massage the scalp for some minutes so that your skin properly absorbs the nutrients available in the oil. Then take a towel or shower cap and cover your head and wait for an hour or two. You can also apply this before going to bed and wash it after waking up. This procedure will improve hair texture by many folds. So, try it. Do this every other day. Oil massage is also useful in dry hair.

The answer is to eat foods that are rich sources of protein, vitamins A, C, and E, omega-3 fatty acids, iron, zinc and biotin. All of these nutrients are necessary for hair growth. The hair shaft is made up of a protein known as keratin and biotin helps in producing this protein. Omega 3 fatty acids improve blood circulation. Vitamins, Zinc and Iron promote hair growth. The egg is a great source of protein, beat-root and green leaves like spinach will provide iron. Vitamin C is available in lemon, amla and honey. Vegetables like carrots can provide vitamin A. The egg is a good source of protein, amino acids and vitamin d which promotes hair growth and thickness. Egg yolk replenishes the scalp, cleans dead skin cells and balances scalp sebum. The only problem with the egg mask is its odour. But this odour can be countered with essential oils like rosemary and tea tree oil. Mix some drops of essential oil in the egg mask and apply it on the scalp. Leave it for some minutes and clean it with some mild shampoo. Repeat it twice a week.
