Everyone has heard someone say that avocado can do wonders for our hair. But how exactly is fruit beneficial for strands? Check out!
Benefits of avocado
There are countless nutrients in avocado that contribute to the beauty of the hair: the fruit is rich in lipids, amino acids, monounsaturated fats, vitamins, potassium, zinc… Not forgetting the antioxidants that fight aging.
The nutrients, fats and vitamins in avocado strengthen the hair, retaining moisture and even acting on the scalp. Avocado also unclogs hair follicles, which facilitates new hair growth.
All this helps to leave the socks soft, shiny and improves the appearance of the ends. In addition to these advantages, making a homemade hydration with natural products is much cheaper than investing in expensive creams.
When to Hydrate with Avocado
The ideal is to apply the mixture after doing chemical procedures that affect the structure of the wires, such as relaxation and definitive brushing. It also brings an excellent after-coloring effect, which always mistreats and weakens the locks a little.
Even if you don’t use chemicals on your hair, but realize that they are weak because of everyday agents – such as pollution, humidity, heat – it’s worth investing in hydration. Another effective way is to add the procedure to your hair schedule .
Include avocados in your diet to boost your health
But it’s not just in the preparation of a moisturizing mask that avocado can improve the appearance of your hair. When you include fruit in your diet, this is reflected in your health, skin, nails and hair. So invest in fresh fruit!
Avocado hair mask recipe
- Choose a very ripe avocado and separate the pulp from the pit. Knead well until it becomes a paste.
- Mix with another ingredient of your choice. The measure is one or two tablespoons, depending on the amount of avocado pulp you use. Measure by eye. Some people use honey or yogurt. The most common, however, is to use a vegetable oil that you have at home, such as coconut oil, almond oil or even extra virgin olive oil.
- To boost the mixture, add a dessert spoon of glycerin. However, this tip is only valid if the air humidity is above 75%. Check your mobile weather app. Glycerin works by pulling water from the environment. If the air is dry, it will make your strands even more dry.
- Wash your hair with shampoo and then apply the mask strand by strand, massaging gently. Let it act for at least 20 minutes.
- Then rinse with running water and pass the shampoo of your choice again to remove all residues. If desired, finish with conditioner.
